IBMC Welcomes Paralegal Degree Program Instructor, Michelle Jacobsen

Michelle Jacobsen, a local dedicated attorney, will bring her executive management, legal skills and business law to the classrooms of IBMC’s Greeley campus, 5400 W. 11th Street, Ste. D, as the newest Adjunct Instructor in the Paralegal Degree and Diploma Programs.

Jacobsen is currently employed with Otis, Coan & Peters, LLC as a Senior Associate. She previously worked for Bank of Choice, a division of Bank Midwest, N.A., as Senior Vice President-General Counsel from November 2010-April 2012, an Employment Law Services Attorney at Mountain States Employers Council from April 2007 to November 2010, and a Compliance Officer at the State of Wyoming Labor Standards.

She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wyoming. She has been admitted to the State Bar of Colorado, Wyoming State Bar and has a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She also retains professional affiliations with the following organizations: American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Larimer County Bar Association, Society for Human Resource Management and Wyoming State Bar Association.

The IBMC Paralegal Program allows paralegal students to combine critical thinking, researching and writing skills in the classroom and during their externship. In addition to learning substance of the law, students are encouraged to analyze the reasons and policies underlying its development. The classroom teachings foster student and graduate success in government, business and law office positions.

The Institute of Business and Medical Careers offers Certificate, Diploma and Associate of Occupational Studies Degrees in Business, Healthcare, Massage Therapy and Legal Studies, with Colorado campuses in Longmont, Fort Collins, and Greeley, and a Wyoming campus in Cheyenne.
