At the Institute of Business & Medical Careers, we take great pride in our faculty. We hire with the goal of creating an all-star team of instructors that have real-world experience in the subjects they teach and that personify our vision statement: Caring Individuals…Changing Lives.
Over the past couple weeks, some members of our faculty have achieved some noteworthy accomplishments!
IBMC would like to congratulate April Ekstrom, Allied Health Instructor at IBMC Fort Collins, for being recognized as Faculty Member of the Year by the Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools(CACCS)!
April Ekstrom received the award as recognition of her commitment as an instructor, leadership as a faculty member, and professionalism within the classroom, campus, and community. The Institute of Business & Medical Careers is proud of her endeavors and excited to have her recognized by CACCS. Jackie Gresham, Regional Director of Student Financial Services, was also recognized as a finalist for CACCS’s Staff Member of the Year Award.
Further, Judy Boker and Irene (Renie) Shovlin of IBMC Greeley have been installed as Colorado Association of Legal and Support Staff(CALSS) President and Parliamentarian, respectively. Both women were installed on September 29, 2012, at the annual meeting and education conference in Colorado Springs, CO.
IBMC commends Judy Boker and Renie Shovlin, both paralegal instructors at the Greeley campus, on a job well done! Aside from working as instructors, Judy is a paralegal for Greeley attorney William Crosier, and Renie is a paralegal for the City of Greeley. We know that our students appreciate the real-world experience that these two women bring to the classroom, as well as their commitment to helping them succeed as future paralegals.
Again, congratulations April, Judy, and Renie!
