IBMC College Promotes Whitten to Regional Director of Career Services
Director to Partner with Local Employers to Place Student in Externships and Graduates in Careers Focused in Business, Medical, Legal and Massage Fields
College students can expect to receive externship and job placement assistance at the Institute of Business and Medical Careers, a local training institution, that recently promoted Melissa Whitten to Regional Director of the Career Services Department for all area IBMC campuses in Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont, CO and Cheyenne, WY.
Whitten has over seven years of customer service and professional career development experience. She has worked for IBMC in the roles of Associate Director of Career Services, Externship Coordinator and Career Services Assistant for the last six years, and she was employed at Lincoln College of Technology in Denver, CO as the Career Services Coordinator from 2006-2007.
As the Regional Director of Career Services, Whitten will support and lead the Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming campus departments to achieve acceptable placement rates required by national, state and federal agencies. She will work with employers to secure placements for externs and graduates, as well as provide assistance in hiring, training, motivating and coaching select staff and students.
Whitten graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Wisconsin in Green Bay in 2005.
