IBMC College Cheyenne campus welcomes three new faculty members, front desk specialist

IBMC College welcomes three new adjunct instructors and a front desk specialist to its Cheyenne campus, located at 1854 Dell Range Blvd. Mary Scherden will teach massage therapy classes, Amber Miller will assist in instructing in the business program and Karen Keller will be a welcomed addition to the faculty team as a medical assisting adjunct instructor. In addition, Sabrina Laiuppa-Chick will greet all students, staff and visitors to the campus, as well as assist in administrative duties, as the new front desk specialist.

Mary Scherden

IBMC College welcomes entrepreneur and licensed massage therapist, Mary Scherden, to the position of Adjunct Instructor, where she will teach students pursuing massage therapy careers in Cheyenne. Scherden rejoins IBMC College after leaving in 2014 as the Graduate Massage Clinic Coordinator/Massage Therapist, as well as a graduate of the program. Since 2005, she has been employed in the holistic sector as a program coordinator for Providers Empowering Providers, and most recently, the owner and massage therapist for Every Body Massage, LLC, in Cheyenne.

Scherden earned her associate’s degree in therapeutic massage from IBMC College in 2013, and an Associate of Applied Science degree from Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Virginia.

Amber Miller

With over a decade of experience, Amber Miller will be a welcomed addition to the business program faculty team at the Cheyenne campus. Miller has been employed in the finance sector since 2003, first as a Office Manager for Raise the Roof, Inc., and later as a Senior Tax Accountant for Kennedy & Coe, LLC, in Loveland, Colo., and EKS&H, LLLP in Fort Collins, Colo.

She graduated in 2004 with an associate’s in general studies from Front Range Community College in Fort Collins, Colo., and an Associate of Business Administration in 2007 from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne. She later earned her Bachelor of Accounting degree in 2008 from University of Wyoming in Laramie, and is currently sitting for the Certified Public Accounting exam.

Karen Keller

IBMC College welcomes Karen Keller to the position of Medical Assisting Adjunct Instructor, where she will be teaching multiple aspects of the healthcare program to students who are enrolled at the IBMC Cheyenne campus.

Keller brings over 8 years of experience in the healthcare sector to IBMC College. She started in 2008 as a registered medical assistant for Integris Grove Hospital in Integris, Okla. Since leaving Oklahoma in 2015, she has been a cardiology technician.

Sabrina Laiuppa-Chick

Sabrina Laiuppa-Chick joins IBMC College in Cheyenne as the Front Desk Specialist, where she will be responsible for providing customer service to students, employers, massage and beauty clients and supporting staff.

In her new role, she will be charged with answering incoming phone calls, inputting leads, ordering and distributing supplies, scheduling appointments and ensuring that guests receive prompt assistance.

Prior to joining IBMC College, she most recently worked as an administrative assistant for Labor Finders in San Antonio, Texas.

Scherden, Miller, Keller and Laiuppa-Chick will be beneficial to the students and staff at IBMC College.
