Angela Massengill promoted to Campus President at IBMC College Cheyenne campus

IBMC College congratulates Angela Massengill on her promotion to the position of Campus President for the Cheyenne campus, where she will be in charge of ensuring that life-changing career training is provided to all students, as well as overseeing all daily operations of the campus.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve the students of the Cheyenne campus in this capacity and look forward to continued success training professionals to meet the needs of our community,” Massengill stated in an email about her promotion.

In her new role, Massengill will be in charge of managing operations at the campus level, including maintaining successful relationships between staff, faculty and students, meeting placement and retention goals, overseeing the Student Beauty Services and Massage Clinic, and create an environment of exceptional customer service at the Cheyenne campus.

“Angela brings a great ability to lead the Cheyenne campus team and support the student body to ensure a successful academic journey every step of the way,” Diana Gunderson, Vice President of Education at IBMC College, said. “Angela has a passion for higher education and will work diligently to ensure the Cheyenne campus succeeds. I wish her continued success and it’s a pleasure working with her for these past 10-plus years.”

Massengill started at IBMC College as a student in the medical assisting program and graduated in 2001. After starting her professional career as a medical assistant at Cheyenne Medical Specialists and Urology Care Clinic, she returned to IBMC College as an instructor for the medical assisting program.  After five years of teaching, she was promoted into the lead instructor position before quickly rising through the ranks as the campus’ Faculty Manager and later, the Education Department’s Manager of Training and Development, which she has held for the last two years. Her years of service to IBMC College has totaled over a decade.

Massengill is pursuing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management from Colorado Technical University.
