IBMC College Names Chief Financial Officer

IBMC College in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming welcomes Gordon Jones to the role of Chief Financial Officer.

Northern Colorado and Southern, WY: IBMC College has announced the selection of Gordon Jones to the position of Chief Financial Officer, a leader with over 15 years of experience in the financial industry and proven success managing $110 million in annual revenue in a customer-focused environment.

Jones replaces Dave Giesler, who has been the CFO for the College since 2009 and key player in the company’s growth and development these past five years.

“Gordon is a strong leader with a proven track record, said Steve Steele, CEO of IBMC College.  “His expertise will be a great complement to our executive team, and will ensure the continuation of a sustaining financial model that supports the academic mission and strategic goals of IBMC College.”

As CFO, Jones will play a critical role in all accounting, budgeting and planning practices.  His extended duties include ensuring that the College maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies, overseeing financial aid programs, assisting with financial strategies, managing equipment acquisitions and major contracts, establishing company policies and supervising all Accounting, Human Resources and Technology personnel.

Jones served as Chief Financial Officer at Center Partners from 2004-2014, where he helped to the company transition from an entrepreneurial, privately held start-up, company with $25 million in annual sales, into a 100% subsidiary of a public company with annual revenue of $110 million.  Prior to this role, Jones worked as the Director of Finance in 2000-2004 and Financial Analyst from 1999-2000, also at Center Partners.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting, from the University of Northern Colorado, an Associate of Arts in Accounting Degree from Northeastern Junior College and successfully completed the Uniform CPA Exam in 2000 in the first sitting.
