IBMC College Signs Cooperative Agreement with the St. Vrain Valley School District’s CDC

Eligible students will be awarded with a $1,000 scholarship to utilize towards IBMC College’s Cosmetology programs at the Longmont Campus, upon meeting select CDC and IBMC requirements.

Longmont, CO (April 30, 2015): IBMC College announced today that they have established a partnership with the St. Vrain Valley School District Career Development Center, granting each student a $1,000 IBMC College Presidential Scholarship to be used in the Cosmetology Diploma, Esthetician Certificate or Nail Technician Certificate programs, upon meeting select requirements.*

“As a preferred accelerated career training provider for the CDC, this partnership is important in furthering the educational opportunities of those students who are interested in pursuing a cosmetology, esthetician or nail technician career. We look forward to offering these students hand-on skills, experience with customers in our Student Beauty Services Clinic, and providing them with career placement assistance after graduation,” stated Steve Steele, CEO, IBMC College.

The Career Development Center is the Career and Technical Education (CTE) center for the St. Vrain School District; it is one of eight CTE centers in the state of Colorado. The staff and teachers at CDC offer programs that provide students a career pathway. All programs offer classes that give students entry-level workplace skills and experiences, in addition to post-secondary connections.

*For CDC students in the St. Vrain Valley to be eligible for enrollment in the Cosmetology program and associated certificate offerings at IBMC College’s Longmont Campus, successful completion of the State Cosmetology License and pre-entrance practicum examination must be done prior to admission.

High school students must have satisfied all necessary requirements to earn a High School Diploma and be at least 17 years of age or older, in-conjunction with filling out all necessary pre-enrollment paperwork, meeting interview requirements, and passing the Wonderlic entrance evaluation exam with a minimum score requirement of a 13.
