Real world experience is what students receive at the Institute of Business & Medical Careers. As the newest addition to the School of Business, IBMC welcomes Jennifer English to provide industry knowledge and accelerated training to individuals seeking accounting careers or business professions at IBMC Longmont, 2315 N. Main Street.

English will assist students seeking entry-level careers in Administrative Assistant Certificate, Business Administration or Accounting Degree programs.

IBMC business students apply critical thinking, decision making and problem solving strategies in the classroom and through their externship. Every opportunity in the classroom is used to solidify professionalism, communication and ethical industry practices for real-life workplace situations, providing students with a strong business background for a multitude of successful career opportunities

English has thirteen years of accounting and finance experience. She currently works for UT Global, LLP as the Controller in the Finance and Administration Department. She was employed as Accounting Manager and Division Controller at Star Trac Health & Fitness in Longmont, CO from May 2009-September 2010, Sterling Innovations, LLC in Lakewood, CO as Business Management Consultant from May 2007-March 2009, U.S. Government, Defense Finance and Accounting Services in Denver, CO as an Accountant II from August 2006-May 2007.

She also worked at The Final Connection, Inc. and Gonzo Access, Inc. as Controller from September 2005-September 2006, Digital Globe Corporation, Inc. in Longmont, CO from November 2002-May 2005, Maxoptix Corporation in Boulder from October 2001 to November 2002, Meyer, Skidmore & Company from January 2001 to November 2001 as an Accountant/Office Manager and @Link Networks, Inc. in Louisville, CO from April 2000 to December 2000 as Payroll Manger.

The Institute of Business and Medical Careers (IBMC) has been providing career training for 25 years.
