Lana Hofer welcomed to IBMC faculty as new dental assisting adjunct instructor

Lana Hofer will bring years of experience to her newly appointed adjunct faculty position for Dental Assisting courses at IBMC College campus in Fort Collins, located at 3842 S. Mason St.

As an adjunct instructor, Hofer will assist adult learners who are seeking entry-level opportunities with career training in the dental field. Hofer has spent the last 29 years in the field – bringing her real-world experience and countless hours of knowledge into the classroom.

Starting in 1987, Hofer has been a Registered Dental Assistant in periodontics in Sioux City, Iowa, and for Dr. Paul Willy in Waterloo, Iowa, where she assisted in all facets of restorative and preventive dentistry. For the past 12 years, she has worked in Sioux City, Iowa, for Wagner, Kuntz and Grabouski Orthodontics, administering duties such as chair-side assisting, patient care and orthodontic adjustments, bandings and removals.

Hofer has an associate’s degree in Dental Assisting from Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Iowa.

Once students graduate from IBMC College’s Dental Assisting diploma program, they will be able to perform services sought by general dentists, specialized dental office facilities, dental schools, dental supply manufacturers, hospital dental departments, dental laboratories and dental insurance companies.
