Just in the last year, The Denver Post has reported a new Children’s Hospital will open in 2018 and could employ up to 500 employees. Local Colorado Springs news station, KOAA5, reports plans are in the works for a new Penrose St. Francis Health Services hospital in the city. The Denver Business Journal reported last year a new University of Colorado Health hospital in the Longmont area is expected to open late this year or early 2017, creating nearly 500 part-time jobs and 200 full-time jobs.
