The Medical Billing and Coding Program in Longmont, CO Welcomes New Instructor

The Medical Billing and Coding program at IBMC College in Longmont, CO welcomes Susan Anderson, RN, CPC, CMRS to the position of Adjunct Instructor.

In this program, she will train students for careers in medical billing and coding in 15-19 months.  Students can earn their degree or diploma in this amount of time when following the prescribed coursework.

Additionally, as an Adjunct Instructor, Anderson will be responsible for preparing students with in-depth training in ICD-9, insurance reimbursements, physician chart auditing, HIPPA privacy, medical billing and collections.

Anderson has worked as the Administrative and Clinical nursing Center in the Ambulatory Surgery Center as Unit Director for the past five years.  Prior to this, she was employed as the Clinic Manager at the Allergy & Asthma Center and Assistant Director of Nursing.

She also brings vast business experience to the classrooms of IBMC College, as a former Development Consultant at the Better Business Bureau.

Anderson graduated from the College of St. Mary in Omaha, Nebraska with an Associate Degree in Nursing.  She took Medical Billing and Coding courses at Career Coders in Loveland, CO and an AAPC CPC Certification class at this same facility.  She is a member of the American Medical Billers Association, Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialists, American Academy of Professional Coders and Certified Professional Coders.
