Our Cosmetology School Programs
The IBMC College School of Cosmetology offers one in-depth diploma program, two certificate programs, and one continuing education course in the beauty field.
The Cosmetology diploma program at IBMC College is a 1,800 clock hour program over a 14-month time period, as prescribed. Courses in the Cosmetology program focus on hairstyling, nail skills, skincare, and salon and business management. This program prepares students to take the State Board Examination for licensure and get a career in cosmetology. Our Hairstyling certificate program gives students the professional communication skills and knowledge needed to deliver the right haircut, color or style. This program covers essential hairstyling topics, as well as salon and business management spanning 1,200 clock hours. The Esthetician certificate program prepares students to help clients overcome skin care difficulties, perform beauty care procedures, and provide skin care consulting. This program covers essential skin care topics, as well as salon and business management in six courses spanning 600 clock hours. All of the beauty and hair school programs at IBMC College allow students to put their classroom learning to practice by working in our Student Beauty Services Clinics.
Located at our Colorado campuses in Fort Collins, Greeley, and Longmont, the Student Beauty Services Clinics offer discounted beauty services to the public to give students real-world practice in their respective cosmetology school fields of study. All beauty school students at IBMC College are required to complete hours in the Student Beauty Services Clinics so they are fully prepared to enter the workforce upon program completion.
