dermaplaning Certification
This course is good for those seeking continuing education in the field of advanced esthetic
services. Students will be trained in how to perform dermaplaning, which is the foliation of vellus hair or
“peach fuzz”.
This program provides licensed Cosmetologists and/or Estheticians the required training to be competent in the use of a scalpel tool for exfoliating the epidermis. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion providing written documentation of the required 8 hours.
Qualifications: Open to Licensed Cosmetologists & Estheticians. Please note, there is a pre-requisite
requirement of a 14-hour Microdermabrasion Certification
Students will cover materials in the following areas:
- Structure of skin and exfoliation
- Skin Analysis
- Treatment Procedures
- Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilization
- Safety, Laws and Rules
Breakdown of Coursework
- 24-hours (3 days, 8-hours each)
