IBMC Students and Staff Give Back to the Larimer County Community by Volunteering at Partners Mentoring Youth.
Thank you to IBMC’s Greg Ricke, MD, Jeffrey Baumgardner, MD, Jerry Mitchell, Kendra Nietfeld, Alexis Wilcox and Susan LeMasters for making this event a success and touching the lives of our community’s children!
IBMC’s faculty and students stepped out of the classroom and onto the dodgeball field where they volunteered their time and eagle eyes to referee intense games of dodgeball at the Partners Mentoring Youth’s SuperStars Sports Challenge.
Having a positive role model in a young person’s life is crucial. The Super Stars Sports Challenge was unique sporting event aimed at raising awareness and funds for Partners Mentoring Youth, a one-to-one youth mentoring organization. It provided a great opportunity for both corporate and private teams to bond in a fun and competitive environment. Event categories included: Volleyball, Dodgeball, a Big Wheels Bike Relay, a Mind-Bender Challenge, and Mystery Obstacle Course.
On Saturday, August 20th local business owners, sponsors, adults came out and joined in on the action – whether by entering teams, volunteering, monetary contributions or providing in-kind sponsorships, hundreds showed their heart for youth in need at the SuperStars event.
Held at Loveland Sports Park, this year, over $45,000 was raised to benefit at-risk children! Proceeds all directly benefited Partners Mentoring Youth.
