A career in the legal profession is both prestigious and rewarding. Training in the IBMC College Paralegal program will prepare you to be employed or retained by a lawyer, work in a law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity.
Paralegals are skilled to assist in delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is ultimately responsible for. Working under the supervision of an attorney, paralegals prepare legal documents, research and compile information, and communicate with clients.
As a Paralegal student at IBMC College, you will learn through hands-on instruction by industry-trained instructors with real-world experience. You will attend lecture classes and work alongside other students on professional projects and assignments.
The Paralegal Degree program provides students with a solid foundation in the basics of law and an understanding of legal processes and procedures. Students will learn how to use legal resources in IBMC College’s onsite law library in order to assist in the preparation of legal pleadings, memoranda and documents. Upon completion of the program, you will receive membership to a professional legal networking association.
