IBMC College Rolls out over 20 Scholarship Opportunities to Students of all Backgrounds
IBMC College announced today that it’s now offering new scholarship opportunities to help students pay for college tuition when enrolling for one of the College’s accelerated career-training programs.
The scholarships hope to help students from every background — whether they are first in their family to attend college, a veteran of the armed forces, a single parent or someone who is working with their local Workforce Center to find their next path in life.
Beginning today, individuals can now apply to receive a scholarship to assist with making college more affordable at any area IBMC College campus. Awards range from $750 to $2,000, depending on whether a student selected a certificate, diploma or degree program.
“We are thrilled to be offering these new scholarships to our students,” Steve Steele, CEO of IBMC College, said. “Our students work so hard managing jobs, children and their studies. It’s fitting to honor their dedication and commitment with these new scholarships.”
IBMC College has partnered with area employers like Walmart in Longmont and Alorica in Colorado Springs to help their employees gain a brighter future by continuing their education. Organizations like Project Self-Sufficiency are collaborating with the College to offer scholarships to single parents who use their services and local county Workforce Centers are coordinating with IBMC College to offer a matching-dollar program for select individuals who are looking to go back to college.
First-generation students and single parents will also get a helping hand from IBMC College’s Single Parent Scholarship and First Generation College Scholarship, offering newly enrolled IBMC students a chance at up to $1,500 in awards to help pay for their college tuition.
With the new scholarship rollout, IBMC College honors and thanks our veterans, active-duty military and their families with offering them four scholarship award opportunities, as well as waiving their application fees.
Other scholarship award opportunities are offered through partnerships with BOCES’ counseling department, IBMC College’s Advisory Board, Fort Collins Dodge, and IBMC College’s Default Prevention team.
