Larimer County Food Bank’s Food Fight Comes to IBMC College
IBMC Fort Collins College Prepares to Hold Local Fundraising Events During the 14th Annual Larimer County Corporate Food Fight Challenge
IBMC Fort Collins College is preparing to knock-out hunger during the Larimer County Food Bank’s Corporate Food Fight event, held throughout the month of April.
“As we see more and more people who are struggling to put food on the table, community support like this allows the Larimer County Food Bank to continue hunger relief efforts. In addition, any funds received during March and April qualify for a proportionate match from the Feinstein Foundation!”
Heather Buoniconti, Development Director, Food Bank for Larimer County
Now in its 14th year, more than 20 organizations will compete to raise funds to benefit the Food Bank. In a time of year that traditionally has lower food and cash donations than compared to the winter holiday season, this valuable event will benefit thousands of Northern Colorado families needed assistance this time of year.
In 2012, the Corporate Food Fight’s participating businesses and individuals raised more than $125,000 and just over 13,000 pounds of food.
