Hands-on Experience

Clinical experience is incorporated to provide an integrated approach in learning the needed skills for competency in a professional massage practice.

Therapeutic Massage students gain real-world experience by perfecting their skills in the on-site Massage Clinics, which are open to the public. Students will interact with clients to gain confidence and master massage techniques and modalities.

As a Massage Therapist, you can often set your own schedule — allowing you to manage family, other professional pursuits, or hobbies. You can also choose from a variety of work environments, including medical settings, resorts or spas, or even working from home.

What to Expect as a Student

The Therapeutic Massage program provides an extensive education in the field of massage therapy, including instruction in several therapeutic modalities and medical courses.

You’ll receive constant feedback and one-on-one interaction throughout your classroom experience as a result of our small class sizes and dedicated faculty.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow, learn and develop dynamic relationships with your fellow classmates and instructors. Classes provide plentiful hands-on hours to hone your skills and enrich your education.

Upon completion of the program and successfully passing the MBLEX examination, students are eligible to apply for a license in the state of Colorado to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.

Volunteer Opportunities

During your time at IBMC College, you may have the opportunity to go off-campus and practice your new massage skills for local organizations such as:

  • United Way of Larimer County
  • Longmont Recreation Center
  • Catholic Charities
  • Suncrest Home Health and Hospice

IBMC College’s Therapeutic Massage Diploma program is offered at multiple times during the year at all three campus locations in northern Colorado, making it easy for you to fit your education goals into your schedule and lifestyle.

We’re committed to offering training that will allow you to start your new career quickly. We have class starts for our Massage Therapy program multiple times a year so when you’re ready to change your life, there’s no reason to wait.

Tuition and Fees:

The full tuition cost depends on the program you choose, military status, and financial aid you may qualify for. Get the details on your specific program and personal needs.

*The program kit for IBMC College’s Therapeutic Massage diploma program is not included in the tuition. The program kit is required and is $220; the massage table and carrying case is an additional $330.
