Four IBMC College Students Recognized by CACCS
In its 2014 list of awards and recipients, the Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools (CACCS) has recognized four IBMC College students for academic excellence.
IBMC College students, Tanya Liles, David Detter, Caitlyn Steele and Norma Flores have been recognized by the Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools (CACCS) for their outstanding academic achievements. Annually, CACCS hosts an awards ceremony that celebrates students in the Colorado career college system who excel in their programs and strongly exhibit three qualities: commitment, performance and leadership/professionalism.
Each student that is honored must have a serious and unwavering commitment to his/her academic and professional career goals. He/she must show high performance in the categories of attendance, grades, class activities and classroom work. Finally, he/she must demonstrate leadership and behave professionally, both in the classroom and within the community.
This year, Tanya Liles, a Medical Billing and Coding student, and Caitlyn Steele, a Cosmetology student, both from the Greeley campus of IBMC College, were awarded the title of “Student of the Year.” Liles was recognized in the Allied Health – Administrative Medical category and Steele was recognized in the Cosmetology category.
From the Fort Collins campus, David Detter, a student in the Computer Support Specialist program, was honored as “Student of the Year” in the Computer Technology category. Norma Flores, a Dental Assisting student, also received the “Meritorious Recognition” award in the Specialized Trades category.
IBMC College is honored to have such a dedicated group of individuals as students and we congratulate Tanya, Caitlyn, David and Norma on their awards!
