IBMC Students to be Honored at the Denver Post/CACCS Student of the Year Ceremony

Top scholars from Colorado’s private sector career colleges will come together to be recognized for their achievements in the classroom at the Denver Post Auditorium at 9am on September 18th.

Northern Colorado (August 26, 2015):
The Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools announced today that four IBMC College students will be honored at the upcoming Denver Post/Colorado Association of Career Colleges & Schools (CACCS) 2015 Student of the Year Ceremony.

This event honors scholars from private career training colleges throughout the state. Private career colleges play a major role in the state’s business and economy, with just over 30,000 students attending private occupational schools in Colorado alone.

Of the 16 total award recipients students, the following are from IBMC College:

Allied Health Specialist – Administrative Medical “Meritorious Recognition Award”
James Thayer, IBMC College Fort Collins campus

Allied Health Specialist Clinical – “Meritorious Recognition Award”
Shawnee Locke, IBMC College Greeley campus

Cosmetology – “Meritorious Recognition Award”
Wendy Blake, IBMC College Greeley campus

Specialized Trades – “Student of the Year Award”
Matthew Breedlove – IBMC College Greeley campus

Students are judged by a Review Committee on these three traits: commitment, leadership and professionalism. The students are nominated by faculty members at their respective college, who complete a questionnaire and one to two letters of recommendation.

The ceremony will take place at the Denver Post Auditorium, 101 West Colfax Avenue in Denver, on September 18th. The event begins at 9am. It is open to the public, and a complimentary continental breakfast will be served to all attendees.
