Congratulations to IBMC’s School of Paralegal Studies Law Day Challenge Winners!
While seeking training to pursue a career in a legal profession, students at the Fort Collins IBMC campus were found guilty of putting their new skill-sets to work at the Law Day Challenge!
Students, in the School of Paralegal Studies at the Fort Collins Institute of Business and Medical Careers, took the skills they had been learning in a multitude of legal classes and applied their knowledge at the First Annual Law Day Challenge event on November 2nd.
With neurons firing and thinking caps full fastened, this year’s top Paralegal students included: Placing 1st – Jermy Leerssen, 2nd – Rachel Cook, 3rd – Josh Gifford.
Organized by Paralegal Instructors, Lillie Ackerman and Carl Daniel, IBMC’s exhilarating Law Day Challenge had students “a buzz” throughout the event.
While stepping up to the podium, a judge presented a variety of law questions – in-which the students were asked to substantiate. With lightning-fast response times, student “buzzed in” to provide each one of their answers.
Each participant was provided one point for every correct answer. For any incorrect response, the student lost a point. After missing more than three questions, participants were eliminated.
