Hands-on Training Changes Lives and Inspires During Photo Shoot
Campus locations: Greeley, CO; Fort Collins, CO and Longmont, CO
Students seeking career training participated in a special photo shoot for the School of Business and School of Paralegal Studies.
Walking into the Administrative Offices at the Institute of Business and Medical Careers each morning, I find myself entering into a quiet, serene office by 8am. That was not the case on Friday morning when IBMC’s Marketing Team organized a Photo Shoot – featuring fifteen students from our Colorado campuses!
Nervous jitters filled the stomachs of some participants. Others, with model training, needed no instruction at all. Being off campus, I do not always have the opportunity to meet our students face-to-face, but with all sincerity, I can say that this day was magical.
I heard the story of grandma returning back to school after working 20+ years in the medical field, young girls hungry to enter into the business world, a father in his forties who chose to attend IBMC for one reason…to make his four year old son proud and a mother studying to be a Medical Assistant alongside her daughter.
The icing on the cake came with talking to one of the mothers two children, both under the age of six, who told me that they were proud of their mommy with mouths filled with chocolate donuts, and our Art Director’s markers in-hand while they busily created works of masterpieces on the whiteboard.
The dust has settled, and it is once again quiet in the offices, but the impact these incredible students left on the Marketing team, still blares through my mind and inspires my heart when I think of these moms, fathers, teens, grandmothers and grandfathers all working to change their lives.
