IMG_0754IBMC College Fort Collins cosmetology student volunteers lent a helping hand – and a pair of scissors – to the city’s residents in need during the annual SERVE Day.

The one-day event – held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on July 15 at more than 30 churches throughout the northern Colorado corridor including Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley – provides numerous family activities including health and wellness services, bounce houses, music and a teen shopping spree.

Several cosmetology students, under the supervision of instructor Chelsea Dahlstrom from IBMC College’s Fort Collins campus, provided haircuts to attendees at the Christ Center Community Church, located at 2700 S. Lemay Ave. in Fort Collins. Ten student volunteers provided 62 free haircuts to Fort Collins residents during the event for no cost.

I know that everyone was impacted by the day.”
