IBMC College In Fort Collins Recognized For ClimateWise Business Smart Program & Social Superstars
IBMC College in Fort Collins, CO has been participating in the ClimateWise Business Smart Program for several years now, and in 2014, the Fort Collins campus reached “Gold” status level. This prestigious honor will be recognized at the EnvirOvation event in May 2015.
ClimateWise is a free, voluntary City of Fort Collins program dedicated to helping local businesses and the environment. Through environmental assessments and creative solutions, the City of Fort Collins ClimateWise team helps businesses tackle modern-day operational challenges that impact bottom lines and the quality of life in Fort Collins for citizens. Ultimately, the goal of the ClimateWise program is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by promoting waste reduction, energy savings, alternative transportation, and water conservation.
The Fort Collins campus of IBMC College has also been accepted into the Social Superstars program for 2014, and has successfully completed the project reporting requirements for the program. Being inducted into Social Superstars means that IBMC College has participated in social-minded initiatives this past year, and will be recognized for their efforts and impact on the community.
The mission of Social Superstars is to support, recognize, and create awareness around social sustainability, by supporting an engaged group of organizations dedicated to addressing emerging social issues by positively influencing the well-being of coworkers, customers, suppliers, and the community.
