IBMC College Students Volunteered At The Loveland Connect Event
Students from the Cosmetology program at IBMC College in Fort Collins volunteered today at the Fourth Annual Loveland Connect Event, held at Truscott Elementary.
Four Cosmetology students and their instructor volunteered their time and gave free haircuts to local residents. Volunteers serviced not only the homeless community of Loveland, but also families and children in need.
The Loveland Connect Event is based on the national best practice model called Project Homeless Connect, the project has been replicated in over 260 communities across the country.
More than forty services were offered in one location to the homeless or near homeless. The services provided are a symbol of the community coming together to send a message about assisting those who are in need.
