IBMC College Colorado Springs campus welcomes 7 new faculty members
IBMC College welcomes seven new adjunct faculty members to its Colorado Springs campus, located at 6805 Corporate Drive, Suite 100.
Ronald Batzel
IBMC College welcomes Ronald Batzel to the position of General Education Adjunct Instructor, where he will be teaching core classes to students who are enrolled in accelerated career-training programs at IBMC’s Colorado Springs campus.
Batzel brings over 30 years of experience in the professional business sector to IBMC College. He started in 1984 as facilities engineer for AT&T Microelectronics in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Since then, he has developed professional skills as a senior project engineer and the Colorado Corporate Services site manager for Intel Corporation, as well as becoming the owner of ANK Facilities Solutions, LLC in Castle Rock.
He obtained his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, as well we a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado.
Rachael Gabnay
IBMC College welcomes licensed massage therapist, Rachael Gabnay, to the position of Adjunct Instructor, where she will teach students pursuing massage therapy careers in the Colorado Springs area. Since 2013, she has been employed in the holistic sector as a massage therapists for multiple spas including Elevation Salon and Spa in Monument, La Tierra Salon and Day Spa in Littleton, Serenity Day Spa in Colorado Springs and Hand and Stone Spa in Colorado Springs. Most recently, she has been the holistic assistant for Dr. Joanne May at Core Star Vitae Healing Arts in Colorado Springs.
Gabnay studied Dual Spa Therapy at The Aveda Institute in Denver in 2010, and was certified in dental assisting and radiology in 2007 from Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs.
Morgan Black
IBMC College welcomes Jiu-Jitsu coach, Morgan Black, to the position of Adjunct Instructor, where she will teach students pursuing personal training careers. Sabetel joins the IBMC College faculty with over three years of coaching and fitness experience. Since 2013, she has been employed as a Jiu-Jitsu coach for VillaSport Kids, as well as leading group classes at Colorado College and the Air Force base in Colorado Springs.
Jolene “Jodi” Bounds
With over a two decades of teaching experience, Jodi Bounds will be a welcomed addition to the instructing team at the Colorado Springs campus. Bounds is currently employed by Regis University, where she has been instructing since 1997.
She graduated in 1999 from Webster University with a Master’s of Art in Management. She also holds a Master’s of Education degree from Chapman University in 1995, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from the University of Southern Colorado (now known as Colorado State University-Pueblo) in 1978.
Pam Osterhouse
IBMC College welcomes Pam Osterhouse to the position of General Education Adjunct Instructor, where he will be teaching core classes to students who are enrolled in accelerated career-training programs at IBMC’s Colorado Springs campus.
Osterhouse brings over 15 years of experience in business sector to IBMC College. She started in 1999 as the director of Youth Ministry at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish in Castle Rock. Since then, she has developed professional skills as a member of the Board of Directors for Urban Peak Colorado Springs and Denver, and most recently, as a Deputy Director for Corp Real Estate in Colorado Springs.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Regis University in Colorado Springs and an associate’s degree in Business Management from Hagerstown Business College in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Mark Jackson
IBMC College welcomes former Texas resident and fitness trainer, Mark Jackson, to the position of Adjunct Instructor, where he will teach students pursuing personal training careers. Jackson joins the IBMC College faculty team with over 20 years of fitness experience. He started his career as the owner and operator of On the Rocks in Austin, Texas, where he operated portable rock climbing walls around the country for nearly a decade. Since 2007, he has been the lead trainer and instructor at Professional Fitness Trainer’s Association in Austin, Texas.
Jackson became certified by NSCA, as well as the PFTA, as a personal trainer in 2007. He also is CPR/AED/First Aid certified instructor through the American Red Cross and certified in include sports nutrition. He earned his associate’s degree in Communications from Angelo State University in 1989 in San Angelo, Texas.
Lisa Bullock
With nearly a decade of experience, Lisa Bullock will be a welcomed addition to the dental assisting instructing team at the Colorado Springs campus. Until moving to Colorado Springs, Bullock was employed by Chickasaw Nation Industries in Fort Drum, New York, where she was a Dental Assistant since 2015. She has previously worked as a dental assistant for multiple dental offices, including North Country Family Health Center/Dental Clinic, Jefferson Dental and Aspen Dental, all located in Watertown, New York.
She earned her dental assisting certificate from Midwest Technical Institute in Springfield, Ill., in 2008. She also obtained her Associate of Arts from John A. Logan College in Carterville, Ill.
Batzel, Gabnay, Black, Bounds, Osterhouse, Jackson, and Bullock will be beneficial to the students and staff at IBMC College.
