IBMC Financial Aid Staff Attend Summer Institute in Preparation to Serve Students
On June 11 -15, 2012, four members of the IBMC Financial Aid staff attended Summer Institute, sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Administrators, RMASFAA, at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. Attending were: Nick Maschka, Jon Dechant, Sean Whitehead, and Don Langren.
It was a week-long, intense immersion into the entire financial aid process, which served to further educate IBMC’s Financial Aid staff on how to better assist students when it comes to funding their education, whether in the business administration program, medical assisting classes, medical billing & coding classes, pharmacy technician training, massage therapy sessions or students training to work in the paralegal profession.
The Institute of Business & Medical Careers was the only proprietary school represented, and three of the four young men from IBMC were in the Quiz Bowl at the end of the conference, where they competed very well!
