IBMC Leadership Academy graduates four new members
Leadership Academy was first founded at IBMC College in July 2010 and has graduated 35 leaders to date. To be accepted into the Academy, one must be nominated by their direct supervisor and endorsed by other supervisors within the department and campus. A selection process is then completed using a criteria filter that includes tenure with IBMC College, organizational chart level, commitment level data and other criteria.
During the year-long session, Academy members are required to attend all 13 monthly sessions; complete homework, case studies, and other assignments; pass the comprehensive mid-term exam; write a final paper and make a timed final oral presentation to the Executive Committee. All submissions are graded. To graduate one must receive a passing overall score.
This year’s graduates are (pictured from left to right):
- Jessica DelCastillo, Career Services Coordinator (Longmont)
- April Lindgren, Senior Student Services Coordinator
- Shawn Burkett, Cosmetology Program Manager
- Claire Holton-Zenner, Regional Director of Human Resources
We are proud of these Academy graduates and of the graduates from prior Academies. Please join us in congratulating them for their success. A plaque displaying their names and photos is located at each campus.
