IBMC College’s School of Massage and Healing Arts Welcomes Rasmussen
Darla Rasmussen has been hired to teach therapeutic massage classes at IBMC College in Longmont.
Students seeking careers in massage therapy will be taught by Darla Rasmussen, the newest Adjunct Instructor in IBMC College of Longmont’s School of Massage and Healing Arts.
In the Therapeutic Massage Degree and Diploma classes offered at IBMC College, Rasmussen will be responsible for providing students with training in muscle manipulation, massage techniques, anatomy and the skills needed to successfully complete the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx).
Rasmussen has 13 years of business and massage experience as the Owner and Lymphatic Therapist at Abatha Total Health – where she utilizes the Bio Meridian to help treat patients with chronic pain and health-related issues.
She has worked in the roles of Massage Instructor at the Colorado School of Healing Arts – where she prepared students for careers in massage. She has also taught anatomy and physiology classes at the Denver School of Massage Therapy.
Rasmussen graduated from Metro State College with a Bachelor’s of Science in Integrative Therapeutic Practices. She became a Licensed Massage and Cranial Sacral Therapist from the Colorado School of Healing Arts and received her Associates of Science Degree in Medical Assisting from Red Rocks Community College.
