Local Chiropractor Prepares Medical Assisting Students for a Rewarding Healthcare Career
Dr. Jeremy D. Overholt has been hired to teach in the Medical Assisting program at IBMC College’s Fort Collins campus, 3842 South Mason Street.
Well-known in the Larimer County community, Dr. Overholt brings his real-world experience to students pursuing medical assistant careers. As an Adjunct Instructor, he will be responsible for preparing students for both front and back-office medical assisting procedures.
Duties also include educating those pursing a degree or diploma in the medical field on just how to take vital signs, give injections, prepare lab specimens, perform suture removal, sterilize equipment and assist with patient preparation.
Dr. Overholt is currently employed at Inner Vitality Chiropractic in Fort Collins, CO. He has a vast background in providing patient care according to board standards, maintaining patient records for quality control and using his training to provide patients with treatment plans. Prior to this position, he worked at Complete Care Medical in Baldwin, Missouri from 2003-2006 as a Chiropractic Assistant.
He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri in December of 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin in May of 1997.
