IBMC College in Fort Collins Hires Campus President

Melissa Meltzer has been named IBMC College’s Campus President at the Fort Collins campus.

With over 25 years of experience in education, Melissa Meltzer looks forward to making a difference in the lives of those seeking career training.

IBMC College in Fort Collins, CO announced today that Melissa Meltzer has been hired as the Campus President.  Meltzer has 25 years of experience working in primary and higher education.

“Melissa is a proven leader with a deep devotion to serving our students.  She has a strong commitment to changing lives and making a positive difference.  We are excited to have her on our team,”  said Steve Steele, CEO, IBMC College.

Meltzer has been working at IBMC College in Fort Collins as the Faculty Manager since January of 2012, where she hired, mentored and trained faculty members, oversaw grading polices and accreditation standards, and developed departmental budgets, among a host of other management duties.

In the role of Campus President at the college in Fort Collins, she will be responsible for ensuring that life-changing career training is provided to all students, as well as overseeing all campus operations, regulatory and statutory guidelines.  In addition, her duties include staff, faculty and student management, budget oversight and procedures in all facets of the campus: Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Services, career training classrooms, the Massage Clinic and Student Beauty Clinic.

Throughout the course of the last two and half decades, she has worked in elementary and higher education as the Assistant Faculty Manager and Instructor at Weston Distance Learning in Fort Collins.

As a 2nd Grade Teacher in the Poudre School District at Tavelli Elementary in Fort Collins and a 2nd and 3rd Grade Teacher at Pine Elementary for Douglas County Schools in Parker, CO over the years, her passion for teaching and leading others has continued to intensify.

Melissa believes in the power of education.  This is evident in her own works and continual desire to improve upon her skill sets,” stated Steele.

Meltzer, incessantly, aims higher to further her leadership skills and build upon her own education.  In her time at IBMC College, she has participated in Leadership Academy III, Strengths Finder, Leadership Bootcamp, Mastering Problem Solving Process and a Faculty Employment Status workshops.

Her continuing education-focus these past two years has also included, healthcare summits, courses on improving student learning outcomes, Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools’ Master Teacher Seminar, bridges out of poverty training, and many others.

Meltzer received a B.S. in Elementary Education in June of 1990 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
