IBMC College Colorado Springs campus welcomes three new faculty members

IBMC College welcomes three new adjunct faculty members to its Colorado Springs campus, located at 6805 Corporate Drive, Suite 100. Chantel Sabatel will teach medical assisting classes, Lindsay Falagan will assist in instructing in the dental assisting program and Jason Esser will be a welcomed addition to the faculty team as a general education instructor.

Chantel Sabatel

IBMC College welcomes registered medical assistant and phlebotomist, Chantel Sabetel, to the position of Adjunct Instructor, where she will teach students pursuing medical assisting careers. Sabetel joins the IBMC College faculty with over four years of healthcare experience. Since 2012, she has been employed in the healthcare sector as a medical assistant for U.S. Healthworks Medical Group in Fayetteville, N.C., and most recently, a registered medical assistant and phlebotomist for Integrity Urgent Care in Colorado Springs.

Buckholz earned her associate’s degree in medical assisting and phlebotomy from Pikes Peak Community College in 2015.

Lindsay Falagan

With over a decade of experience, Lindsay Falagan will be a welcomed addition to the dental assisting instructing team at the Colorado Springs campus. Falagan is currently employed by South Springs Dental Group, where she has been the Lead Assistant since 2015. She has worked as an expanded duties dental assistant for multiple local dental offices, including Prestige Dental Centers, Pine Creek Dental and VA Dental Clinic.

She graduated in 2003 from Intellitec Medical Institute’s dental assisting program. She later became a certified Expanded Duties Dental Assistant and became certified in X-rays in the state of Colorado, also in 2003.

Jason Esser

IBMC College welcomes Jason Esser to the position of General Education Adjunct Instructor, where he will be teaching core classes to students who are enrolled in accelerated career-training programs at IBMC’s Colorado Springs campus.

Esser brings over 10 years of experience in the professional and military sector to IBMC College. He started in 2003 as an instructor for the Community College of the Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss. Since then he has developed professional skills as an Information Systems Security Engineer for General Dynamics in Colorado Springs since 2014.

He obtained his Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb. He started his education at the Community College of the Air Force, where he obtained an associate’s degree in both Electronics Systems Technology and Instructor of Technology and Military Science.

Sabatel, Falagan and Esser will be beneficial to the students and staff at IBMC College.
