Fort Collins College Hires Lori DeNomme to Teach Medical Assisting
Experienced Medical Assistant joins the Fort Collins Campus of IBMC College as an Adjunct Medical Assisting Instructor
Lori DeNomme has been a Registered Medical Assistant since 1996, when she graduated from the Medical Assisting program at IBMC College. Throughout her work experience, she has mastered medical terminology, clinical requirements, and procedures. In her role as an educator, DeNomme will use this personal, real-world experience to teach students about the Medical Assisting career field.
From 2003 to 2005, DeNomme worked at Alpine Ear, Nose and Throat in Fort Collins, CO. Here, she provided support to the physician in administering medications and communicated with patients to gather information about their health history. She continued working as a Medical Assistant from 2006 to 2014 at both the Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinic of Northern Colorado and Centers for Gastroenterology, where she coordinated patient care and prepared patients for exams and treatments by taking and recording vital signs. As an instructor, her knowledge acquired through years of work in the field will be greatly beneficial to students at IBMC College.
