IBMC College in Longmont Hires Business Degree Program Instructors
Michael Colyer and Margaret Pond will prepare students for careers in business at nationally accredited IBMC College’s Longmont campus.
IBMC College in Longmont has hired Michael Colyer and Margaret Pond to provide career training instruction in the School of Business to those students seeking a Business Degree in as little as 19 months.*
Colyer and Pond will be responsible for using their real-world experience to the classrooms of IBMC College, where they will teach fundamental business concepts, accounting practices and prepare students in principles of management, business ethics and general education courses.
Bringing 60 years of combined business “know-how” to the classrooms of IBMC College, students will gain valuable training, learn from business leaders during their five-week externship and receive job placement assistance from the Career Services Department at the College.
Colyer has nearly 25 years of experience in adult higher education. He has worked for Colorado Christian University as a Retention Specialist, Mardel Education Resources, Inc. in the role of Customer Service Representative and the Full Employment Council of Greater Kansas City as a Career Readiness Executive and Consultant.
In addition, he was employed with National American University as the Director of Education in Kansas and Missouri, Denver Business College as Dean of Academics, Colorado Christian University as an Academic Advisor, University of Denver as a Liaison, the Arapahoe Community College as a Summer Youth Program Instructor and a Research Associate at National Conference of State Legislators.
He received his Masters of Arts Degree in Education with an emphasis in organizational leadership from Colorado Christian University in 2000 and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in History from Metropolitan State College in Denver.
Margaret Pond brings 35 years of professional experience to the business and computer classes at IBMC College as the owner of POND-erosa Enterprises, Bookkeeping & Business Services.
Currently, she is employed as an Adjunct Instructor at Front Range Community College. Prior to, she worked as a full-time Instructor at IBMC College for three years. Before joining IBMC, she was employed at Eastern Montana College, Denver Business College and Northwest Community College, in varying years, as an Instructor between 1987-2012.
She founded POND-erosa Enterprises in 1987 and continues to maintain that bookkeeping business. Before becoming a business owner, she served as the Municipal Clerk and Treasurer for the City of Powell, Wyoming from 1980-1987.
Pond has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Education from Arizona State University.
